    Which college course?

I want to go back to school to get a degree or certificate and make a career! I'm doing hydrostatic testing right now and really don't see a rewarding future in doing this, I was looking at the continuing education courses but also want to consider get a associates in something at least I can go to school and get a degree before I'm 30 and have a more promising future for me and my family... Thinks that interest me are agricultural stuff obviously lol but I'm looking towards the oilfield and outside sales area, I'm not the type to be behind a computer all day but if it's interesting I can make it work... Any ideas/suggestions/recommendations on college course or programs

        First,
Research YOUR idea of the perfect career what ever that might be.
Then, research to see if there are actually any jobs available in that area.
Then, see what it takes to get one of those jobs and how much that degree will cost.
Lots of people rack up 10's or even 100's of thousands of student loan debt and then realize there are no jobs( or very few) in the degree plan. Universities care less if you get work they only care about your money.

I realized a long time ago that there was nothing in college that was going to interest me so I quit. At 32 I went to fire school and life is good.

Nothing really interest me in college i feel like it's kind of I'm settle for this and stuffy this, my neighbors dad offered me a job 2 yrs ago in Beaumont as a fire fighter, he's the chief and he said they make some good money even starting off and their schedule sounded like I would have plenty of time for hunting! I may try to follow up on that

If you are going to go to college, get a STEM degree. I'd probably go mech engineering if I could have a do-over. (I have a BBA in Finance, but work in O&G)

I'll look Into those stem degrees, I should have mentioned before but I will still be working full time, so it would be night courses or something flexible

Instrumentation degree would get your foot in the door for a lot of outside sales stuff, or land you a job where you can be on TBH throughout the day like I am.

Have you looked into getting a wildlife biology degree? To me this is the perfect job for the obsessed bow hunter or hunter in general. If I wasn't more than half way done with a military career I would definitely go to school for this. My brother graduated from Texas Tech about 2 years ago now. He had job offers before he graduated and he ended up getting a job where he interned in the summers during school on a 21,000 acre hunting ranch. He gets paid to guide, hunt and operate heavy equipment and of course he does a lot of ranch hand work. He also does helicopter surveys, occasionally guides hunters in the helicopter and all kinds of other really cool stuff. He's handy to have for a brother too because I hunt down there for free also . There are a ton of jobs in this field and most of them are ideal for the sportsman.
