I have a 35 hp JD 820 that Im going to trade in on a larger tractor. I know the trade in will not be what they sell it for. So When I find out the trade in price I w ill post it on TBH in the classifieds at the price they offer me.

It is simple to see what the fair market value is, so the dealer may make the price sound high but they charge more for the new one. The acid test is to see if a dealer will buy your old tractor and NOT buy a new one from them.

Sounds like he is offering someone a great deal if the dealer is offering a realistic trade in and not manipulated with no discounts on the new tractor.

It ain't hard to buy one tax free if ya own property. Not hard at all. Doubt the OP is gonna pay any taxes.


The 820 was made from 68-72 and originally sold for 4k.

The funny part, is that this tractor is probably worth more today than for what it originally sold for.
