I have a 35 hp JD 820 that Im going to trade in on a larger tractor. I know the trade in will not be what they sell it for. So When I find out the trade in price I w ill post it on TBH in the classifieds at the price they offer me.

Soooooooooooooooo, you are going to sell it here for the same price that the tractor place offers you??? And then wait for somebody here to buy it??? When you could get it at the same time you do the trade in???
Makes sense!!!

It is simple to see what the fair market value is, so the dealer may make the price sound high but they charge more for the new one. The acid test is to see if a dealer will buy your old tractor and NOT buy a new one from them.
Sounds like he is offering someone a great deal if the dealer is offering a realistic trade in and not manipulated with no discounts on the new tractor.

Sounds to me like the OP is willing to go out of his way to give a TBH'er a good deal on the tractor rather than trading it in so the dealer can mark it up and resell it. Yes it does make sense! Thanks
