Bushnell stopped making this model, but you can buy them used on eBay for around $70. Plus another $50 for batteries and the solar charger.

I have always bought cams under 100 and have tried them all and the moultries have stood up the best. Always buy 2 because you can almost always count on one being a lemon no matter what brand you get. I have all mine on 12 volt batteries and I cant tell you how much money I have saved on batteries...not to mention the stress relief of no longer having to get to a cam and find it dead. Moultrie is having a sale on refurbs.
Last bit of advice is buy dire tly from moultrie or academy. Academy is best for no question returns.

Depends on the application and pockets. Moultries ir55 work well for day shots and batteries last long, night pics are b/w and lack details unless up close...Comment

I have had great luck with the Bushnell trail cameras. Small, battery life is great and pic quality is good. They take large capacity sd cards and are usually $200 or less depending on models and sales. I have several that have been out all year for years and still going strong.Comment

Love my Bushnell's. On lithium batts. they will get 12-15k pics. They have been rock solid for the past 4 years. Still going strong.Comment

Best for the money... Probably those Moultree 880's or whatever the upgrade was from the M80. Good quality pics, the batteries last. Overall good camera.
Best made... I LOVE my Covert Black 60. Best quality pics I've seen but it'll run you about $80 more.Comment

Coverts are great cameras. The negative reviews you are reading are folks who are not the sharpest tools in the shed. There are issues if you don't know how to program it, ATT possible hassles. They are not Mac friendly. But you don't even need a computer to program them now. Once ya get past all that and its set up right. Its been flawless. Couldn't imagine having another camera.
