    Bug ID?

    WTH kind of beast is this? I'm usually pretty savy on what most bugs are or at least their slang name but in all my years growing up in east texas I don't believe I have ever seen something like this. About 3 inches long but doesn't like spectracide pro.

                      That's the larva....catch them in the river for bait. The end product is the picture which is the dobson fly as listed above. Mean looking suckers and will bite the hell outta ya!

                              They can bite the hell out of you with those pinchers and they can get you while you have them by the back. Got a buddy that found out when he picked one up
