Wicked looking critter- usually peaceful - attacked me for some reason

Those things are huge too. At least some are. I can't imagine getting stung by one...

This is the first year that I have had one of these things come after me also. They sure look like they could do some damage.....

I had one of those hit me in the hand going into a ground blind last year between my ring finger and my middle finger. I took my ring off quickly before it had swollen up, which it did. Hurt like the dickens.

I have seen them dragging tarantulas to their gorund nest before. They are serious!!! And huge too!!!
