    Fox pro models?

    Guys and gals,

We are starting to have a few too many Yotes running around and I am going to start working on them.

What model do you suggest and why? Looking at the firestorm. Any feedback on this model?

Price is not a big issue but not sure I need the prairie blaster as we will be hunting smaller areas.

What does the brain trust say?

    Thanks y'all!

Unless you have some big country to hunt, the Firestorm should do just fine. Not sure where you need it but you're more than welcome to use mine if we're close enough.

If you can afford it, get the Shockwave. The features and the ability to direct both speakers wherever you want is SO worth it; and the controller is fantastic! I upgraded to the Shockwave after about 6 years with the Fury GX7 (original Fury model) and it's upped my game. It was definitely worth the expense; but, then, calling is part if my job and one of my biggest hunting passions.

The Firestorm is more like my old Fury, with a few minor upgrades. The remote is annoying and makes using some of the features a real pain. The new remote that comes with the shockwave makes it EASY to use the many features and is MUCH more intuitive. This makes it easier to adjust volume and pitch and switch sounds during a set; and I've found all these abilities make for more realistic scenarios that result in more responses.

Any Foxpro model will call critters - there's no such thing as a bad FoxPro unit. It's just that some are better than others. Getting 100 sounds, instead if 50, is a good bonus too. IMO, the additional cost is WAY worth it!

I will take a hard look at that model. Money is not an issue, so if it fits the bill that's what I will do.

          Thanks man!

I have a furry 2 and its pretty nice. I don't use it enough though. I need to start getting into it more. It wasn't cheap but its quality. All of their callers are really good. The firestorm should do just fine.

Shockwave, CS24,or the new Fusion. All 3 are great and all 3 have the new TX1000 remote.
Which ever unit you buy make sure you get the TX1000 remote. I have owned or still own every model of FP and by far the 1000 remote is the best. I also like the CS24 over the other calls.

Killed plenty yotes and cats over a buddies Fury, that said theyve come in just as good to my spitfire.

Id get whichever one had the most bells and whistles I could afford or sneak by the wife. I dont get to hunt them as much as I want otherwise Id have something with Foxbang on it

W any of the units you are playing the exact same sounds and rarely is volume an issue. Ive called coyotes in very high winds in kansas where i could barely hear the call from 50 yds and seen a coyote come in from a 1000 yds. Dont think they cant hear it we need to turn it up! Prob the opposite your blowing them out w unrealistic volumes. I rarely turn my fox pro past volume 24 which is just over half way and im calling large vast open prairies etc. The fancier models do have nice features such as gps locations on remote and a memory to record hunt data but i dont see myself using these much. Foxbang is one nice thing and playing two sounds simultaneous is about all u need IMO. I dont own a new model but i have been caught by coyotes a lot sitting there messing w remote etc playing around with it and gone its too late. I feel the features and options make u lose focus on hunting and looking down a lot just to look up and see fur heading out. That will make u mad. Also if u get 50 more sounds w upgraded model they run about $2 a sound from their website so thats a $100 bucks right there just fyi. Not sure of cost difference in models now. Check out predatormasters.com for pricing also. Good info there

I've played around with varmint calling with the cheapest model, the Wildfire, and have had success
