    Moultrie feeder 6v to 12v

I have standard moultrie feeder motor that came with 6 v battery. If I put a 12v on it will it burn the little motor up? It spins it harder it seems.

It sure can. Some folks claim they can do it and have had no problems but many folks burn em up. It's definitely not gonna last as long as its not made as strong as the 12v is. Another thing you have to be concerned with is ..is your timer 6V and 12V compatible or just 6V only ?

Get a 12v timer with the high, med, low speed settings and run it on low or medium and check the voltage while its throwing. This would be the safe way to not ruin the motor.

I would recommend just buying a 12 volt motor if you want to run 12 volts.

Does the timer run on the same power as the motor. If so I would also worry about damaging the timer unless it is rated for the 12 volts.
