We will be in Geogertown starting late this afternoon for a Showcase tournament at Southwestern. What are some good places to eat. Is there any real good Mexican food places?

If you are at the campus, Then Dos Salsas is your place.. If it is for dinner, get there by 5- 5:30 or you will be in for a long wait..
Hardtails has a good lunch and atmosphere. If you are looking to step it up a notch in money and elegance, then Gumbos on the square is where I would go.. Hope this helps...

I wasn't impressed with El Monumento when we tried it a couple of Sundays back and have never been impressed with their sister restaurant, Monument Café either.

La Playa on Williams Dr gets my vote for Mexican in Gtown. Dos Salsas is good but the La Playa burrito with beef fajita is outstanding. Wildfire (south of the square on Austin Ave.) is good and Hat Creek Burger Co (North of square on Austin Ave) is good if you want something quick. El Monumento was crap IMO. Monument is ok but prices don't match what you get.
