    Decision time

I could use some prayers as I struggle with making a decision about where to finish up my schooling and probably ultimately start looking for a job. I received an email today that I got accepted to a Loyola law school as a transfer student. I am currently attending Texas A&M school of law. The catch is I have to make a decision by August 8.

Here are the pros that I have come up with for moving:
    1) the drive to school if I moved would only be 30 minutes vs 2 hours.
    2) I would be living with my fiancé, instead of in another state.
    3) I really like the saltwater fishing.
    4) My fiancee's family practices law in the New Orleans area (possible connections)

    A few pros for staying:
    1) I have made some good connections here and currently have a job in the legal field that I could keep throughout my law school career.
    2) I have gotten to know my professors very well.
    3) I think that Texas would ultimately offer the better job market after graduation.
    4) I have a law review write on invitation with A&M, and will not get that opportunity with Loyola.

That is just what I have come up with so far. Just received the acceptance email a few hours ago and have been discussing things with family. What are your thoughts?

What type of law are you going to focus on and who has the better program for that area?

By the way. I grew up in NOLA and that is a good school, but if it doesn't offer what you want then it may not be worth it.

Also, why wouldn't the soon to be family help you post graduation from either school.

Oh and as for fishing. You won't have time for that.

Year one if law school the books stack dam near to the ceiling.

I just finished my first year. Thats how I have the law review invite. From what I have been told, practicing law in Louisiana is different from everywhere else. I am not sure how exactly.

Not speaking from experience, but the fact that you are on the green screen tells me that you're more of an A&M guy. I was considering Baylor and Tulane among others in college football recruiting, and the best advice I got was...if you plan on living and working in Texas, go to Baylor. If you plan on living and working in any other state, go to Tulane. I chose Baylor. In a strange twist of fate, I lived in NOLA for awhile after Katrina, and it all made sense. There is no wrong decision, but your decision will drastically alter the course of your life, more than you know. I'm a Texas boy personally.
