    Need some gear head help

Ok so I have a 2003 ford f150 with the 4.6 v8 it runs really good but about 2 months ago I put new tires on it I went from a 255/70/16 street tire to a 265/75/16 all terrain. I noticed after changing tires that my truck is a little sluggish and my mpg went down a little bit. does anyone else have the same engine that installed a tuner and what are the pros and cons? And what tuner are you running?

Not sure on the tires... My 99 4.6 was running pretty bad. I put in new plugs and it runs good now. truck has 99K on it.

Good luck on it. If mine makes it... it will be my son's when he turns 16. Couple more years.

Going taller on tires will have an affect on mpg, but shouldn't make anything seem sluggish. My old ford 4.6 required routine throttle cleaning and spark plugs. So if you haven't, clean the butterfly in the throttle body and check air filter. Otherwise, the only thing I ever had problems with, was occasional o2 sensor reading that would fix itself, cats got clogged, and dpfe sensor, but most of that caused check engine light.

With I still had that truck. 220k when I sold it, took me through hell and back, and the only time it left me on the side of the road was when the alternator finally quite at 211k.

That isn't really too much of a drastic change of tire size to affect performance. Although street tires do have less rolling resistance. When you did the tuneup did you change the fuel filter? Have you checked the computer for codes? The light bulb for the Service Engine Soon light may burn out. Does it come on at startup?

Yes all lights come on at start up. I put a cold air intake on it as well I have a code reader and nothing comes up. I have not changed the fuel filter though
