How long do strings last ????

I have a 2011 Z7 from Mathews. I may shoot a session once a week / twice a month in the off season. Several times a week prior to season and taper off during season.

How long is the string/cables good for? I keep them waxed down pretty good.

Iffn I were to get new strings...what is a good brand...what should I stay away from?

    thanx,

Your bow is prolly out of spec at this point. Every couple of years is about average but you shoot quite a bit. Always replace both strings and cables.

A seasoned 3D dude once told me every 2 years or 2500 shots

I have got over 5k+ shots a piece on the last four sets I have had on my bows. they last roughly a year then come off regardless of needing to or not.

I stick with at least every couple years. More than that if you shoot every day or even every other day. I'm gonna order some korbins or get Kyle at CCR to build my next set. The only problem is that I now live 5 hrs from CCR... Guess a road trip will be needed in the future!

Nope. I'm too old and weak for that.

Sounds like he does good work...but dang... that boy's in Virginia.

Does he ship the strings and have ya take it to a local shop to put it on?

I change out strings most every year. Just cause I want to and new color combo floats my boat...
