    Wifi security cameras

Can some one tell me if I get a wifi camera. Can I link this to my phone in a area that has no service. Looking at tenvis ip391w hd

Looking at watching hog feeder while in camp. If they show up I can sneak down to shoot

You're going to need a wireless access point to get your phone to talk to your wifi camera. Wifi devices don't talk to each other directly they talk through a wireless router or an access point.

That's kind of what I thought. But someone told me as long as the camera has a ip it will link to a iPhone with wifi.

No it's not lazy. But I just figured when I get up at night to pee I could look at the camera. If they are there I could go shoot one. Okay that does sound lazy

If you have wifi issues, I've got the perfect solution. How about you take a really, really long string, tie one end to a stake by the feeder and start wrapping the string around other stakes placed around the feeder. Next, run the same string alllllll the way to your cabin and stake it by your pee spot with a bell attached. While you take a leak, you can watch the bell and wire and find out if anything is around the feeder. Just as lazy.... way cheaper

No different than our covert text cameras

If I get a text when I am at camp that the pigs are there , I would go out and cap one

Well, there is lazy, and there is smart. My buddy did a spread sheet from a compilation of hog pics at our pig pipes. He determined that they mostly came from 3:00 am to 5:00 am. So we eased up to one in the cart at 4:00 this morning and capped him. That's not lazy, that's using the brain God gave you IMO.
