Time for new boots. Can I get your boot preferences?

So its that time where I need a new pair of casual boots. I am getting these primarily for wearing with jeans and maybe occasionally with Riata pants. Traditionally I buy Justin brand, 11" uppers, 1 3/8 inch roper heal boots. I like the Justin Bent Rail but also found a pair of Ariat that I like the look of (Ariat Turnback Weathered Buckskin). The Justin is very similar to boots I have bought in the past. . . the Ariat is different because of the brand, upper and heal size.
I was hoping I could get your feedback on regarding what you look for when buying casual wear boots. Thanks

    Do you prefer a 1 3/8 roper heal or a 1.75 heal?
Do you prefer 11" upper or 13" uppers?
Do you have any feedback on brands Ariat vs. Justin?

I look for round toes, rubber lined soles and no pinch across my foot when squatting down and Made In USA tags.

Justin Bent Rail fit the bill...usually have to get the round toes from the factory cause of the square toe thingy going on.

I am a roper heal guy and prefer the taller tops. I have finally made the progression to square toes but I fought it for years and refused to make the change. Now that I have I will never go back. The comfort factor is huge. I have worn round toes since I was able to walk so lets call it 40 years and never knew there could be a more comfortable boot out there, but I am loving my square toes now.

I recently bought several new pair and walked in planning to buy A. Beans. After getting some intel that supported some reports I heard about their quality falling offI walked out with two pairs of Boulets that I have fallen in love with. One pair of everyday "working in" boots and these that I wear to the office.

I have a pair of twisted X boots that I have had for about five years. On the second set of soles right now. This pair is shorter topped with roundish toe, but the next pair will be taller with a squar toe. Tried a pair on the other day and loved them!

I'm not stuck on a particular brand. The just have to fit right and feel GREAT! No mediocre boots for me!

Anderson Bean hands down. I have a pair I've worn every day for 8 years. Been through 6 sets of soles and heels on them. Make sure you drown them in oil about once a week and they will take care of your feet for years.
