I have used Redmon's in Lewisville. His name is Johnny. He is a small shop, very knowedgeable, very old school but keeps up with all of the computer skills. Great staff. Off of Valley Ridge at I-35.

Christian Brother Automotive in Plano is a great place. They fixed my brakes and my wife mini van.

What's wrong with your vehicle? There have been a lot of them fixed by TBHer's step by step procedure's. I live in Allen and have worked on cars all my life. I ain't a mechanic, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn! Serious, maybe I can help ya out.

Goldeneagle, thanks for the offer, but this time I think I need professional help. My daughter's car will need to be towed in. The gear shift cable either broke or came disconectted, and not on the easy end. The car is too low to the ground to get underneath without a lift. It's also stuck in park.

We have 6 cars between the 3 kids and my wife and I and there is always some car in a sick or non running form. I would love to find an honest, competent mechanic who is relitivily close to me. I am in the northeast Richardson area, so Lewisville is quite a hike.
