All loaded up and ready to hit South Padre Island!! Speargun, fishing rods(thanks to Airhead), kids and a beautiful weekend planned. Weather looking unreal after Friday!! Flat, and winds dying down. Will post some pics!! Thanks to all the suggestions yall!! Aloha!!

I'm debating weather to hit the sand with a couple big rods or the bay with light tackle. If in Corpus, I might be tempted to hit the close rigs if the swell forecast is true.Comment

A little weather update for SPI, absolutely beatiful day today!! Nice little 2-3 ft waves rolling in all day, perfect for body surfing with my oldest son. Then some lunch at dirty something at the harbor. Then went to scope out jetties where it's supposed to be really nice in the early morning. So boy and I heading out to hopefully spear a couple of eaters. Anyhow, I will try and post some pics of the beaches. Very little see weed, there is some, but none in the ocean. And nothing even close to port A or Galveston. So I say it's worth every hour of driving already.
