    brazos and lake whitney

Have any of yall floated on the brazos river that flows into lake whitney? I am headed up there 2 weekends from now and don't have a game plan on what to do. Is the water level good right now? Is it a good place to go floating? Any feedback would be great.
    Thanks!

I will be kayak fishing with a guide this coming Monday but I believe we will be below Whitney.

The W Lake is 7.29 feet low at this very moment. We got some good rains last month which brought the lake up a good bit. But not to full capacity.

Where will you be putting in at?

. We were down there 4th of July for a few hours. Buddy caught this. 6.2#. It's low but fish able. Wear shoes and don't stand in the grass for long periods of time due to small leeches. River would be my vote.

Be careful if your in the Nolan. Just don't wade into the Nolan river channel it's self. Or you may never get out, with out help. The silt can be waist deep or deeper in places.
