    Elevated Blind in place!!!

I have been working on this thing for weeks. It felt good to finally get it in place at the lease.

I started with a shipping container pallet. Built walls with 2x2s and OSB sheets. Painted with 4 gallons of paint inside and out. Couple of sheets of tin for a roof.

Used Shadow Elevators connected to the pallet and cross braced the 4x4s.

I got 2 anchors from Owens in Childress but only used one when I found how good it worked. Has anyone used these? The second one is laying on the ground to show you what it looks like.

Now all I have left is buildng the ladder or steps. I just could not take the 100 degree heat and 15 mph wind any more this last trip.

    What do you think????

Good looking stand. That's the only way I have ever tied my stands down. Always put a turnbuckle centered in the middle to kept it tight and use one continuous piece of cable.

The right short side is pointed north so the smallest profile it facing that way. I may use the other anchor on that end. I put the anchor that you see under the blind and tightened it down good. Will spend more time on it before fall.

Take it from someone who lived in the Texas panhandle for 22 years. You can never have enough anchors. You already bought it, might as well use it.

Four gallons of paint oughta do it. I might tie wire or cable into that anchor, though. Saweet looking rifle blind.
