Most on here will say Shoot, shovel and shut up..
All I can say is I love dogs, but when they chased my horses...problem taken care of!

I'd be careful about shooting someone's dogs, could stir up a bad deal if anyone was to see. Meth heads, pot growers, and some rednecks shy of a load. Rat shot works real good for keeping dogs off property when shooting at close range. And many other ways to keep dogs off whit some effort. I also remember reading awhile back where someone had their dog shot that crossed onto neighbors land. Bad deal all the way around

My land owner in Llano once got after me for not taking care of a dog problem he had. Next hunt I caught heck for not bringing him the collars off the two strays, went back out and collected them and he went to the neighbor and presented him with the tags and collars. He hated dogs that chased deer about as bad as his next door neighbor, he put up a 10 foot game fence between him and the neighbor after shooting 3 more dogs from next door.

Catch them. Shave em down. Dye them fluorescent pink. Send them on their way.

Had the same issues at my place last September. They were warned twice and ticketed once. The dogs are now gone in doggy world (attacked my wife and kids on our property) and I had enough of them. If the owner cares about them enough they would control take care of them.

.............. neighbor and sheriff both know how I took care of them. They no longer own any animals.

If I was your neighbor and you approached me with your dilemma, I would certainly fix the problem because I love my dogs and wouldn't want them accidentally "mistaken" for a coyote and shot, and I would respect you as a neighbor and fellow hunter. In My opinion, do the right think first.

Depends on what you think of the neighbor

I might just mention that I had seen some dogs on game cams and was having someone come out to poison coyotes and wanted all the neighbors to be aware to keep their dogs up.

Or if past experience by myself or other neighbors told me this dog owning neighbor was an uncooperative individual then I would apply the 3S rule.
I have a soft spot for dogs but sometimes you gotta do what is not pleasant or live with the problem

I'm dealing with the same issue at my property on Rayburn. The dogs stay under my feeders! Saw these dogs about 2 miles from home last year. They chased a 6 point by my stand. If only they would have stopped! It's very frustrating.

Have you ever met or talked to the neighbor,if so is he seem reasonable,if so ask him to keep his dogs up,if he doesn't make attempt, that don't work get some rubber shot gun shells, that don't work send on to dog heaven.Does he have any land, ask him if he has deer on it,act stupid and tell him for the life of you u just don't seem to get any deer on your place..See what his response is.
Keep us posted how it works out
