They originally called that feeder the "Tornado", I think. It has three separate motors. With the original timer you could choose to feed one or two or all three directions/motors. I think it would be easy to hook up a generic timer to it. Just connect the "motor" leads from the timer to whichever motors you want to run ( 1 or 2 or all 3). Having said that, the only one that I ever saw first hand only fed w/ 2 motors after about a month and the whole thing was basically trash after the first season due to coons/squirrels eating all of the plastic out around the holes where the corn comes out. The motors turn a rubber "impeller" style device that flings the corn out.
Hmm.. I'll try making it work with a timer, worst case scenario I'll cut a hole and stick a Moultrie unit to the bottom and bypass the original motors.. Thanks!
Had one of their directional fish/tank feeders mounted on a post at a tank on our lease for 3 years. I 'coon proofed' it with a surround of wire after they stuck their grubby little paws in the hole and pulled the rubber flappers off. It ran just fine for a fish feeder but not something I'd use for a deer feeder.
