any plans to put a diesel in jeep wranglers?

I know they have em in the cherokees and so forth...what about jeeps?...kinda looking at em. Not the best gas mileage but what do ya do

If they did, I could only see them putting the 4 cylinder 2.8L Cummins in there due to weight and size restrictions.

I've seen plenty of 350 swaps. I've only seen one diesel swap. I think they used an isuzu diesel.

The Grand Cherokees are already coming with a diesel option here. But, it is the same 3.0L V6 that is available in the Ram 1500. 250 or so hp and 420 ft lbs of torque. WAY too much for a Wrangler, at least according to Jeep anyway!

That would be the Italian 2.8L 4 cylinder turbo diesel. They were only available for one or two years.

Seen a couple that people did a Cummins 4bt swap in. They were all very nice. Don't know if the factory will ever do it though.

in the newest issue of JP magazine they are showing to have a diesel option... But they also said they are going to be uni-body and no longer have solid axles.... I think they said it was the 2017 model
