New battery not charging??

its a spring top and I charged it with a battery charger I charge my other 6 volts with.. and yes the feeder motor is a 6 volt was running before in my back yard... I filled a 5 gallon feeder with dog food lol to feed my dogs and the coons lol

I wanted to try the feeder out make sure it was working before I took it out to the lease lol But its working just fine in my back yard lol
