    RV A/C help question???

I'm in my camper this weekend. It's a 50amp unit with 2 AC's. The main one is a 15,000 and it's doing fine.

The one in the front bedroom is a 13,500 and I can't keep the breaker from flipping. It will stay on for for about 2 minutes and then the breaker will flip.

Any thoughts? I can provide more info if needed.

Most likely something to do with the control board.

Does the compressor ever come on?

        Can you swap the breakers?

Probably not getting enough amps or a bad breaker in the camper or at the plug in.

Are you saying it flips when you try to add the second, or is the big one off and you try the small one by itself?

Dumb question but are you sure you are plugged to a 50 amp service and not 30 amp?

Yea. It runs and blows for a few minutes and flips the breaker

The big one is on and the small one in the bedroom keeps flipping off.

Yea I'm positive it's 50 amp. I've had it at the same location for a year with no problems.

Is your water heater running electric or lp? I've see some rv with both Ac units plus water heater pop a 50a service every couple mins. Shut down everything besides the two Ac units and see what happens. Could be a bad breaker at the rv park (being weak)

If you are running your water heater on electric it could be drawing to many amps and cause your problem as well. Thankfully we are having some decent temps over the 4th anyway. Good luck.

It's flipping the main breaker or the breaker in your camper that goes to that ac unit?
