    A Fallen Hero Comes Home

    I did not know Sgt. Spitzer personally but as a Viet Nam veteran I felt the only way I could honor him was to share.
    Sgt. Thomas Z. Spitzer of New Braunfels Texas was killed in action June 25, 2014 in Afghanistan at the age of 23.
    He is survived by his parents John and Jean Spitzer, brother Nick Spitzer and fiancé Casey Neef.
    There will be a memorial service Wednesday July 2, 2014 at Canyon High School at 7:00 pm.
    Sgt. Spitzer will arrive at the New Braunfels Airport at 2:30 pm. Friday July 4, 2014. His procession to Zoeller Funeral Home will leave the airport on FM 758 South to Highway 46 West to Business 35 South to South Seguin Street West to Landa Street.
    Visitation will be Sunday July 6, 2014 from 2:00pm. until 7:00pm. at Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, July 7,2014 at 12:00 noon At St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels with burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.

        I heard on 92.1 they were going to do something at canyon high school before the visitation.friends and family are going to bring pictures and do a big thing to remember him.... Prayers for the family

          They have started a scholarship fund in his name and are taking donations tonight.

              God Bless him, his family and friends! My heart goes out and prayers sent for peace during this time. This pic always comes to mind when I read these stories.
