Camping in Leakey?

My wife and I are planning a spur of the moment trip to the Frio to float and hang out for the weekend. Of course it is to late to rent any type of cabin because they are all booked for the 4th. Has any one pitched a tent around there and if so where? I have looked around but all I see is RV parks but no real camp grounds.

Any help would be appreciated.

Garner State Park is really close by....
