    Cedar Creek this past weekend!!!

Of all the lakes we get to fish Cedar Creek has to be one of my favorites. Its a big lake with some big hybrids. This weekend Bustin Loose headed North East to try them out. Well just like every other tournament this year we had battery issues. Got there to find out that none of my Accesorries would work..lights, radio, VHF, etc... The big motor and the Depth finder worked so we were good. Just a pain in the ***. Next morning up and ready. Since we didn't have any NAV lights we had to wait until daylight to go. Again pain in the ***. We finally get out there and tried our first spot. Nothing but cats. We move to a second spot and got into cats. I then moved us about 50 yards to the other side of the point and BOOM!!! FISH ON!!! When we saw the fish we knew he was good. Went to get the net and sure enough the dang thing blew off the T-Top. Go figure 10lb hybrid no net and not prepared. Ended up losing that fish. ( The not having a net would have made a big difference at the end of the day. Well Dez and I dug around and found us each a pair of gloves. So all day we landed the fish by hand. Pretty comical at times. We ended up breaking off or missing 3 fish that would have helped us. Two were 10lb fish!! Anyways we had a great time... Over came adversity and finished 2nd with something like 36.5lbs. First finished with just a little over 37lbs. Not having a net came back to bite us. Daniel caught her Personal best biggest hybrid at 8.50lbs and won the youth as well.

I bet we caught somewhere around 35-40 fish. The smallest hybrid we caught was 4.75lbs. Thats a pretty solid fish in itself!!! For those that live on that lake and don't fish it ....shame shame no your name!!

I just bought the lot nothing on it. I don't live too far so I figured I would go down and get started on it around early fall.

She was on fire this weekend. Big gizzards were the ticket. 5-10" baits in 40ft of water. What end of the lake you on?
