    Reflective tape on arrows

Do ya'll think that if I put thin strips of reflective tape on my arrows, it would throw the accuracy off?

Get with Saltwater Slick on here....... I know he had some reflective wraps made.

You can already buy reflective arrow wraps. I believe I bought mine at Cabelas. I don't think they really help a whole lot, though- at leasy, not like I thought they would. Tracer or Lumenocks work a whole lot better for arrow recovery than reflective wraps. I'm losing very few arrows these days and I'm hunting MOSTLY at night (by moonlight) for hogs right now. Check around the big archery suppliers for those reflective wraps, if you want them- they'll be a lot lighter than a standard reflective tape!

Nick's on target with his information. I done some arrows w/the reflective tape like you'd put on trailers (you can get it in the automotive section @ Wal-Mart and cut it to size.....if you care to try it).......I done some w/silver and some w/red. They did show up pretty decent if they weren't buried up in brush/weeds/cactus.....or like this past year.....MONSTER BROOMWEED!!!

I did not see any difference in the flight of my arrows after putting the reflective strips on. However, I never could get the tailing edge to stay stuck down flat as good as I'd like.....but I'm picky that way.

For my money, the Tracers and Lumenocks are the way to go. And this year they have them in not only amber/red, but also green and I believe I've seen some blue ones also.

Of course if you like the do-it-yourself stuff you can make your own lighted nocks. It's not that tuff and they do work.

        Good luck w/whatever you do!

Yes, daylight on a light floor with the sun shining. Here it is pitch black dark with hand covering most all of the flash...

I have reflective tape on my traditional arrows. Got it at Three Rivers supply. I love it and it really reflects with a flash light at night.

                        Reflective Tape

I use 3m reflective tape on my arrows. I put a strip about an inch wide on the back of the arrow in front of the fletching and one just behind the point.Makes it easier to spot my arrows in dim light and they really show up when I hit them with a flashlight. Seems to help withn penetration some .
Doesnt seem to affect flight at all maybe becuase I balence the weight.

Cameron made me some, and they sure shine in the dark when a light hits them. I can't wait to get some of them bloody. Far as I can tell, they shoot just fine for me.
