And now you know why it came without wipers. The wiper motor/gearbox is bad. About $60 at your local auto parts store.

You need to disconnect the motor from the linkage, let the motor run in to the end or park position, then move the linkage manually in to the end or park position and connect it to the motor, now turn the wipers on with the arms removed, and verify correct travel and correct stopping.
Last step is let the motor go in to the park position and then install the wiper arms and blades.
Good luck.....oh btw, make sure you keep your fingers out of that linkage, that will cut your fingers off if it comes on while you are working on it.

Ok thanks for the finger saving heads up! I guess I have to take the long skinny cover off that runs all the way across the windshield between it and the hood to access this stuff?
