A place I was on for years had a lot of creeks running through it with high banks maybe 10' wide. If you found a spot where the bank went from high to low there was almost always a major crossing at that point. I really wish I could go back and hint that property knowing what I do now. I don't know where you are used to hunting but east Texas at times can be downright depressing as far as seeing deer. But if you get off the path and into the woods you can have awesome luck and a chance at a real bruiser. Also look at google earth it can tell you a lot about your property, record coordinates of good looking spots and go find them. Good luck and hunt hard, and if you just have to have a feeder I wouldn't make it your primary spot just monitor it with a camera.

I took advise from the green screen last year on hand corn for east texas.... it works! put it out the night before, shot a 10pt coming in to it the next morning. Lots of other good advise as well. With all the rain this year in east texas the acorn crop will be the primary food source come fall. Ill be hunting bottoms for sure.
