    Moving a mobile home

Does anyone know the cost of moving a mobile home!? It's a neighbor's who's over my property line so it will only be moved maybe 20 feet!
    Thanks in advance

I moved one with my F350 about 2 miles once, very slowly!

        This says $6,000 to $20,000...

As with any other type of move, the costs you encounter while relocating a mobile home may vary greatly depending on several factors - learn what they are and how to create a budget that works for your specific needs.

I haven't paid to have one moved, but we did give one away that someone else had moved. I had a few conversations with the mover and I seem to recall his initial ballpark estimate being $7,500 and that was only about five miles or so. But then they ended up having to build axles for it, so I'm guessing it ended up costing more. If you don't need any permits, yours would probably be on the "cheap" side.

Edit: Wait... 20 FEET? I would think you could move it that far with a tractor.

Last one I had moved cost 1500. He said it didn't mater to him if it was 15 foot or 500 miles.

I thought they had wheels on them? Hook up that "big heavy" tundra from the other thread and yank it out of there.

I moved my 16x80 from channel view to granger land (conroe) it cost me 1300. My dad had one moved about 60 feet them back to original spot on concrete slab for about 800. Then had another turned 90° for about 850.

Single or double wide...I once moved a single wide and a big one at that over 20 miles with a big a__ tractor. It was slow going but made it fine and leveled it and set it up myself. Cost 0...well a few beers for the guy whose tractor we used.

They took the wheels and tongue off mine when they finished moving it

I moved one (single wide) myself one time with a 1 ton truck. Last one I paid to have moved cost me $400 but I blocked and leveled it myself. If you can get it ready to move yourself it would save you some money.
