Good to hear that refurbishing a big bass could turn out that well. I am looking at a couple of 10 lb fish that came from Sam Rayburn years ago. I may need to have them repaired as well. My biggest regret is not releasing those big fish and having fiberglass reproductions of them made.

If you ever need replicas done or touch ups I highly recommend Fish Scale Taxidermy. They are expensive but well worth it.

Congrats....Taxidermy is such an art....unfortunately there are some "bad art" examples posted time to time...but it gives a reference for what quality should be.
