    Deer harvest log for lease

I am trying to design a game harvest log for our lease. It needs the lease name and county. Then there are 13 hunters and we are allowed four deer and 2 turkey's. The hunter must also list his address and hunting license number. It would be kept in a binder on the mantle in the camp house. I think I have an idea of how to lay it out, but want ideas to see if y'all's are better or more effective.

Do any managers here have a sample they would be willing to share on the forums or by PM. Your help would be much appreciated.

Sounds simple enough to draw up on an Excel spreadsheet. You can make it look however you'd like.

Do you plan to simply document the person and kill or would you like to collect harvest data? You can have columns for age, sex, weight and score.

I don’t keep one for my lease as it’s just me but do turn in data to the local biologist for his records.

Basically just document animal type (deer or turkey) date, and sex of animal for each paid hunter. I thought one sheet per hunter with year, lease name and hunters name and license number. So it would be six rows on each page, two for turkey and four rows for deer since we are allowed four deer and two turkeys. Just a basic log with no weight or age info required at this time.

What's the goal? What are you trying to accomplish with the log? It doesn't sound like you're putting much info on it.

The one Sippy posted is good.

How about a simple notebook where each hunter has his own page...that way all that hunter's yearly info is on one sheet vs everyone's being on a spreadsheet???

Up until last year a harvest log was required by TP&W due to us being MLD.

Other than that it's a good way to see what was killed during the year.

You can use the MLD TPWD Log as a go-by to make your own....good luck.

I don't have a copy at the house but this is similar to what we use.
