I've been trying to follow this story. Something doesn't add up. He was riding with friends and had a wreck on his bike...then they saw him ride off in another direction away from them? Did I hear that right???

I'm not saying there is foul play but man it just seems odd...

There were 4 of them all together. They decided to split 2x2 and ride and meet up later. When Wes wrecked, his friend stopped to make sure he was ok and Wes told him that he was fine. They continued to ride with Wes's friend riding ahead of him. When he finally got to an area where they could stop, Wes's friend looked back and he wasn't behind him.
