Nicest Texas coast town / fishing?

Thinking about taking my daughter and heading to the coast in about 3 weeks. Looking to probably hire a fishing guide for 2-3 days for bull reds and trout mostly. Which coastal area would y'all consider the nicest and best fishing?
Also, any recommends on guides would be appreciated.

If you like quiet fishing towns I would say port Mansfield. For more scenery and things to do I would say port Isabel/south Padre island.

This. There is nothing to do in Matagorda or POC, but decent fishing. The fishing in Rockport and Port A is subpar compared to the rest of the coast, but stuff to do. Further south in Port Mansfield the fishing is great and so is the scenery, but not much to do. Port Isabel and South Padre have great fishing, great scenery, and lots to do. With a daughter, that's where I'd go. With a son I'd be in Mansfield.

Sabine has great fishing and nothing to do, Galveston has pretty good fishing and lots to do but the scenery is horrible and often the water is brown I less you catch very low winds.

                      I love Matagorda.

We also make an annual September trip to Port Mansfield. Its a long way but worth the drive.

You will not believe the monster bucks that infest the whole entire town. Pretty spectacular.

X2. We fish out of Seadrift. Cheaper accommodations and close to POC. Actually, we launch out of Seadrift and fish San Antonio because it's a lot less crowded and the fishing can be really good.

Rockport or Port A if you want something to do besides fishing. If not, Port O or South Padre but that is a drive.
