    I paid $2.48 per lb last week for a whole (not trimmed) brisket. The trimmed brisket was over $5 per lb.

        Going to get worse before it gets better. Good long bred young cows, going back to the country, bringing up to 3k or more per head. Blame it on the drought! Takes years to up production with cattle.

            That's a big brisket. Seems high, but as stated above, beef prices are through the roof.

            Growing up we would buy briskest for .79 a pound and grind into hamburger.
