    Pasture help

Just bought 3 acres, gonna put a horse on it, but there is one issue. There is a tank, prob an acre in size and like most tanks in the area is pretty much dried up. Anyways i was wanting to fill it in to make for pure grazing area for the horse, whats the best way of doing this? Do i need to put up a sign asking for fill dirt? I know going out and buying it will be out of this world expensive, what do you say green screen?

that dirt under the pond will be THICK and mucky if it has been there for any amount of time. very easy to get stuck in. I'm guessing the pond does not have a dam/spillway?

Is there a dam that you could just have pushed back into the tank?

Push the tank dam back into the pond and grade it where it doesn't hold water anymore.

How deep is it? And does it have a dam? I would think just contact a dozer man and he will cut the dam, filling the hole somewhat with the dirt from it. A good dozer operator will smooth it out from there.

*opps i was late on my post

wonder where the dirt went when they dug the pond?? maybe just grade it out. Bring in some dirt from a high place on property?

You'll get more trash then you could handle

Fill and smooth the best you can.
I might consider ditching runoff (if any)
                        And buying some decent fill

There isn't really a high place on the property to grade off of, and it being a 2 acre pasture and my house sitting on the other 1 acre, not much room to get extra fill from, so i was wondering what the easiest way would be...doesn't seem like there is one

Roughly 1 acre area. How deep? Estimate the slope of the sides. 1 foot down for every 3 feet out? More, less? Ur probably going to be really surprised how much dirt it will take to fill back in. Give me as much info as u can and ill figure it for u.
