What is the deal with them this year. We have never had them until a few weeks back. We had lots of them all of a sudden. I saw a post on here and I put out apple cider vinegar with sugar and soap. Took several days but it got them. Now I have seen a few again and wonder where they are coming from and why they are so bad this year.

Our local exterminator told me that they breed in the sinks and garbage disposal where the bacteria grows. He sold me a liquid that you coat the sink drain with. It runs down and kills the bacteria as you let it sit overnight. It did really well for us. You need to repeat it every year or so as they come back.

Couldn't you just run bleach down your drain for this? maybe mix it with soap to make it stick and drip down slowly?

No. tried that and all it did was make the sink a nice bright white. Still had bugs the next day.

Gonna have to try this! The gnats have been bugging the crap out of us here lately.
