Anyone fish the Texas City Dike or Galveston Jetty?

Looking for tips, tricks and fishing report for fishing the Texas City Dike and/or Galveston Jetty.

I have never fished anything further East than POC.

We just hammered the sharks off the north jetty

fishing off the bank. looking at a possible weekend somewhere along the coast with the wife and maybe trying to find a decent spot from shore to wet a line. I'd like to get her into a big Red!

If I can get her hooked on Red fish, means I can do more fishing too. (kidding)

Surfside jetes

The jetes in surfside are pretty legit i go there quite often with my parents and we usually get into some reds but its better to go down a lil ways down by the clearer waters, thats where we always go in my opinion!!

The Texas City Dike gets really busy during the weekends, never really fished the dike itself. i have always been in a boat when we are by there.

The north and south Jetties are good for bull reds, sharks and smacks.
