    Spider ID

These things are everywhere at work. Well, used to be anyways. Flat leg span is probably around the diameter of a coke can.

Are there different types of daddy long legs? I grew up calling these DLL'S and these are different than those.

My mom would say Brown Recluse. But every spider she sees is a brown recluse lol

The first picture is of a Pholcidae which is termed a cellar spider and found everywhere in the world except Antarctica, small and harmless.

The second picture posted belongs to the family of Opiliones (harvestmen) and is also harmless..

Thanks. The Pholcidae pictures look right, but it ain't small by any means! With the legs completely spread it, it would be almost as big around as my palm.

Good to know they're harmless, though.

Shop-vac will clean that right up!

I used to give them a pass due to the amount of flying bugs they caught, but they will make a mess of the garage with webs.
