    Another bug ID...

    Found this in crawling in the living room the other day. I have never seen anything like it before and can't seem to find a name for it or anything. It was hard as a rocks and really hard to kill.

        Hellgrammite. Larvae of the Dobson Fly. Excellent fish bait.

                  They live several years in the larval stage and only a few days as an adult fly.
                  They will bite pretty hard so handle with care. Catfish love them. Best bait I ever used in the San Saba when I lived in Menard.

                    Hellgrammite...Dobson fly larvae. EXCELLENT bass bait! Run a hook right under their "collar" behind the head and cast.
