We finished up our annual Backyard Bible Club last night. It's similar to your normal Vacation Bible School, but we take it to the kids in the community, rather than make them come to us. Skits, song and dance, games, crafts, snacks, memory Bible verses.
At the end of the evening, the Gospel is presented and the individuals are offered one-on-one couseling with church members who have been trained on how to better present and make sure that it is the child's decision, and that they are not pressured in any way. They use the ABC method (Admit. Believe, Confess).
Well last night, July 16, 2008 at ~7:45PM, Hunter came to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior!

We've been working towards this for a while, but not pushing, as we wanted it to be him that made the choice. It was definitely a God thing last night. The first person in our church (Hope Fellowship in Lake Jackson) to hold Hunter as a baby (he was about 8 months old when we started attending) also happened to be his couselor last night. In speaking with her afterwards, she said that she wasn't even supposed to be there, but something kept telling her to go. Anyone wanna' hazard a guess who that might be?
