Too bad more people don't know who they are. I wore out many boot soles polishing dances floors to their music.

Yep, they were awesome. Everybody knows Natalie (sadly), but the Maines Brothers are definitely under-appreciated.

Anybody who follows high school basketball knows about Idalou. They always have some cold white boys up there.

Also where this video was shot:

Nope, a generation removed. My grandpa had a ranch south of there and my mom grew up there. Lots of family still in the area though not as many as there used to be. I do most of my hunting up there, now, on my folks place. I usually follow Canadian in HS football since I've had several cousins and uncles play and even coach there. Since I hunt there and since my folks lease their place for cattle, I follow the weather pretty regularly, as well. I get up there about 4 times a year and will be heading that way over the 4th, probably.

There are great people from there as well.
Pulled out the Delorme atlas and found all three and Canadian too. It's a light 930 miles one way to Idalou When I get around to a road trip around Texas it's going to be a long one. Idalou, Big Bend, Terlingua, The Alamo, Mercedes, Alice, Amarillo and the road goes on forever...

another line of storms rolling thru north of 40, but building southward. Thin line, but very intense.

I live in Idalou and this is what I got this weekend:
                    3 Tenths on Friday
                    5 Tenths on Saturday
                    4 Tenths last night.

Up until 2 weeks ago I had only had .47" since November, now I have had almost 6 inches, most of it in the last 2 weeks!
