    electrolisis(sp*) how to get rid of it

    i have a boat with some pitting in it. the cause has been removed but there is white flakeing and some green too around the pitting. does it have to be killed or neturalized?

    can i just wire bursh it out?

        Technically speaking, it is called galvanic corrosion.

        If you google " removing galvanic corrosion" you oughta find some answers

            get you some 'anodes' they will take care of your problem. the type of corrosion that you are refering to is inherent with salt water, a stray current; from lighting, or even other peoples boats..... galvanic corrosion always goes after the softest metals, therefore you use lead anodes, it eates them up first, and when you see them being destroyed, you replace them....hope this helps you.
