My Mom raised me different. Found a purse once in the middle of the road with a bunch of cash. Dug through the purse and found a phone number. Called and returned it intact.

I was in a wreck while in my teens. An elderly couple that owned a grocery store pulled out of a side street and I hit them. The woman was hurt pretty bad and the man was shook up pretty good. Some bystander was thought to be checking and helping the old woman out. When the paramedics got there the person wouldn't move out of the way for a good few seconds. Later they found out that the person they thought was helping the woman, actually stole a bag of money that slide out from under the seat. It was the daily deposit for the store. Just some sorry people in this world.
