    Outboard help

Just picked up an older Procraft with a 1994 Evinrude 150 Spitfire. It is going to need some work. It is going to need a crankshaft bearing. Anyone know much about this?

You have to tear the engine down 100% to replace crank bearing. Basically you have to overhaul the motor. Be sure to look at the piston and rings real close and the rest of the bearings. Very rare to see a bad crank bearing without lots of other problems.

Haha... I have heard similar 2 best days in a boat owners life, the day you buy your boat and the day you sell it.

Today I got rid of one and picked up another (and some cash )

Don't know how to fix it, but you used your best day of owning a boat. Second one will be when you sell it. LOL!! I own one myself... I hope you knew about the problem before you acquired it. Good luck and enjoy!

Yes I new it was going to require some work and $$ but wasn't sure exactly how much. May be cheaper to find a decent used motor

Ok... Called a guy that worked on the thing previously, he said it ran fine just a little noisy. I need a motor cover and a throttle shifter. Anyone got one for sale?
