I surely would not take it personal (I understand that will be difficult) but please keep in mind that a large amount of folks go to Alaska to runaway from the lower 48. Not to disparage anyone that lives there (or has lived there) but it is really a place of borderline misfits/outkasts. My trips there always gave me that impression...........outside of military personnel, 2nd/3rd generation residents or oilmen that got transferred there.......it is odd at best! Just a weird group of folks that migrate there from my non-professional observations. He is the one that is surely missing out!
