In midland for work. Brought the bow back from the house to help pass the time after work. Can anybody in the area suggest or recommend a place to go?

There are some out here just have to know the right people and where to look. I would be careful taking that bow out with you get caught by the rancher and it isn't going to be pretty.
If you are wanting one to eat I might could hook you up with a eater size one the Pecos/Ward county line for a hunt/fishing trade of some sort in a few weeks when I get back down there.

Trust me I have looked just so I wouldn't have to wait on an invite to go deer hunting.

Nope no hunting on any public lands out here for several hundred miles. All we have is a few dove hunting spots through tpwd and that is it. Amistad is 3 to 4 hours to the south only other place is san angelo which isn't to bad a drive but still a little ways off from midland. And I believe these few places that are relatively close are seasonal and not open year round. So unless you own land have a lease or know the right people no way to hunt out here.

If you could hook a brotha up, I'd definitely appreciate the opportunity

Good luck with the landowners most are going to be hard arses when it comes to hunting but some times you can get lucky.

I did have some javis coming in on a regular basis but past couple months our tank as been dry due to windmill trouble so they have moved off for a bit.
And I haven't been around to keep the feeder up so will have to see if they are still coming in or not.Last edited by westtexducks; 06-04-2014, 03:55 PM.
