No but my point is they put a system in place, use the dang system. Just randomly giving it to people is stupid and if thats the case that its just a give away then give it to every one.

Again. Everyone still has to "pass the test". It's not like you are getting to bring knives and gins on because you are approved. They are just trying to make it quicker and easier for everyone. I actually feel for the TSA. All anyone every does is b1tch about them. Even when they are trying to make the system betterfor everyone. Its a no win for them.

Again does it really matter. If they miss one everyone will be ******. If we take them out of the picture and something happens everyone will be ******. Its a no win for everyone. If they stop something they get no credit because they were supposed to stop it.

My wife and I were both Prechek on our Alaska trip, all it did for us was allow us to keep our shoes on. Same long line, same scan, everything but with our shoes on. I ddint see anything special aboout it.

Flew to Canada in June. Wife got Precheck and I didn't. On the return flight I got it and she didn't.

No rhyme or reason to it.

I applied. Nothing yet. Don't think it will happen. Im a die hard conservative and republican. Heck I'm the only one who gets questioned and so called randomly bag searched at the heliport by tsa out every one on my crew.

I too fly a lot, every week. I am TSA Pre-checked... the ONLY thing it does is allows you to not have to strip naked and take everything out of your bag, ie liquids etc. You still get x-rayed, your bag still gets x-rayed, you still dont get to bring nail clippers, gallon jugs of moonshine or bazookas on the plane. It is really just a expedite line for those of us who have gotten the strip down/get dressed thing down to a science and do it several days a week. Even if you havent had a background check and get pre-selected for the TSA line there really isnt a security issue... it's your lucky day and you dont have to hope like heck your draawwwwz dont fall off because you had to take your belt off when you stick your hands in the air for the xray.

X2 Same here....been TSA Known Traveler pre-checked for awhile now but it seems the pre-check line is getting longer and longer almost on a weekly basis.
It's still worth the $85 a year but it's starting to get out of hand with all the people signing up and the "random" selection process.
