    Tow behind mower advice.

Looking to get a tow behind mower that can be pulled behind my 4-wheeler and Ranger. Can anyone give advice/experience with these?

    Thanks.

I've heard good things about Swisher brand. See them on craigslist from time to time.

I bought a used Swisher off TBH classifieds and man I love it. Keep the blades sharp and it will knock some stuff down. Totally happy with my swisher.

Awesome! What did you give for it? Looking at a used 60" right now for $850 and looks to be in great shape. Here is a pic of what I am looking at.

I bought a cheap walk behind mower. A 60" Bunson for 50.00 , fixed the problem. Wired a kill switch from the 4 wheeler. I fabbed a hitch to hook it up to the 4 wheeler.
Swisher seems to be the best I have read about premade.

Well I didn't get the 60 but got a 44. Here is a pic, trying remember exactly how much I paid, thinking 450 but heck I don't exactly remember.

I have done a lot with this one since I got it.

              Those 60's are nice machines.

I had a Swisher brush cutter(not the finish mower), it had swinging blades, not fixed. On my old lease in Haskell Co if I could push the brush over with my atv, the cutter would beat it to pieces, sometimes took two passes over a heavy clump of brush, but it really did a good job clearing long shooting lanes. The fallen mesquite limbs and thorns did a number on the atv tires as well.
Sold it last year when I got on my new lease, just use my lawn mower on the highest wheel setting now for the tall weeds here.

I have been running that exact 60" finish cut Swisher for about 15 years. I was tearing up a Kubota & shredder on this rocky terrain. Smooth ride on an ATV is a lot better. I have had to replace shaft bearings, a battery about every 2 years, both belts once, awesome machine.
Tractor Supply has blades & belts in stock.

There are two types..the finish mower and the rough-cut series. The rough cut models usually have swinging blades which will give when you hit a large stump or rock. The finish mower is just a normal mowing deck. I just bought a swisher rough cut 52" and tried it for the first time today. It's a beast. I took out some cedars that were a couple of inches at the base. It's easy to pull and seems fairly well built. The cheapest place I found was to order it on line through Home Depot and have it delivered the local store. Only took 5 days to get with free shipping.

I'm in the market for one right now. I have one at my place in ohio. I bought that one new at tractor supply. It's the roughcut model.
