DC Solar Powered deer camps -- questions

I am thinking of installing some solar panels to run lights only in our camp bunkhouse. Stove and heater is propane so lights are about the only thing we need. I don't really care about burning lanterns inside a building either.

    any thoughts or ideas.

A large solar panel or two connected to a bank of deep cycle batteries(don't know how many batteries, don't know how many lights) wired in parrellel should give you sufficient source to power your camp lights. 12v would probably be your best option. Not a solar, DC lighting expert.

Depending on the size of the lights, you will need a large solar panel and batteries. If you were to use lights like in a camper you could get away with 1-2 45-50 watt solar panels and probably1-2 batteries. But keeping the hooked up all the time would eventually ruin the batteries. There are plenty of other people who know a lot more than me.
