Out of the 2 choices I would definitely pick the Pioneer. If you're looking for a good reliable machine that will do it all, that has 4 seats and is not as long as a school bus then you need to not overlook the Kawasaki Teryx 4.

I just recently sold a 2011 Big Red. It was a great UTV. Ran great, shifted smooth without any belts, had plenty of power. It's a Honda it will run forever if taken care of. The reason I sold it was I needed a 4 seater. I do not like the way the Pioneer seats fold out of the bed. I need 4 seats and a bed. I am just waiting to see what the new Kawasaki mule is that they are releasing in the fall. It is suppsoed to compete with the Ranger. If not I will go with the 4010 mule.

I have had two Kawasaki Mules, a Kubota RTV, and three Polaris Rangers. My current is a Ranger 900 Browning Edition. I love the top end speed (55mph) and power steering on my current rig.

Kawasaki's had issues with belt slippage and breakage in wet terrain. Kubota RTV was a total disaster- underpowered lemon that overheated easily and the Kubota warranty was worthless.

I buy nothing but Honda ATV four wheelers, however. I have a 2004 Rancher that still purrs like new with only an annual spark plug change. On my third set of tires, but otherwise its the most dependable vehicle I've ever owned.
